Chair Backs

Chair back offer extra potential for decorating a room and have been relatively under used until recently. There is something very charming and quite unexpected about a chair embellished with a tied post or trimmed with a great gauzy ribbon. Pay special attention to the brides and grooms chairs and use simpler ideas for the rest of the seating, if you prefer. Choose long-lasting flowers that will look good all day.

Some ideas:

Hydrangeas are a good option as their papery flowers last well.

A simple paper cone overflows with green and white variegated foliage and a froth of humble cow parsley tied with a wide satin ribbon

A single diaphanous bow of palest yellow organdie softens a painted chair back

Or perhaps a washed-out sky blue of a mophead hydrangea partnered with a narrow pale blue ribbon on a white bentwood chair.
